Pediatric physical therapists can help children by assisting them with developing skills that are necessary to be functional and safe in their environment. Pediatric physical therapists address posture and muscle control, balance and equilibrium skills, walking skills, muscular strength and endurance, range of joint motion and joint flexibility, coordination skills (eye/hand coordination), and developmental delays.  Pediatric physical therapy services promotes independence, increases participation, makes muscle development and use easier, improves strength, enhances learning opportunities, and eases care giving.
